i Travel 101

First time travelling? Don't sweat!  This is a guide for newbie travelers who want to know how to get started, from booking that flight to landing back home.

Backstory
When I started travelling, I was absolutely clueless.
My first local trip with friends was to Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan.  I simply tagged along, not having any idea what was in store since my friend did all of the planning.  It was a good first trip since my friend turned out to be one of those travelers who just had to keep moving.  Our itinerary was filled with activities, with no minute wasted.  This was my first taste of the joy of travelling.
Going out of the country, my first trip was to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.  I was scared and nervous because I did not know what to expect.  I found myself overwhelmed by the thought of going through the intimidating immigration people, stepping out of the comfort of Philippines soil, and immersing myself to a different culture, a different language.  There were highs and lows on that first trip, but this was a kick-off to learning and yearning travel.

Like I said earlier, don't sweat it.  With proper preparation and information, traveling is awesome.
Now I just want to share what I've learned so far with the hope of readers learning from our mistakes and from the things we got right.  So here's a list of lessons learned, recommend things to consider while planning for your trip, what to pack, and what to keep in mind while on your trip.

I hope to update this list as I learn more, but in the mean time I hope this helps you as it is.
